今日もCOVID-19の感染者が爆発的に増えています。
新たに緊急事態宣言の地域が追加されましたが、相変わらず政府や自治体の対応に変化はありません。
むしろ、入院を必要とする患者さんの受け入れ先となる医療機関が見つからずに命の危険に晒される事態が増えているようです。
病床数が逼迫することを恐れていたはずですが、COVID-19の騒ぎが起こってから1年半過ぎても改善される気配がありません。
本来は、重症化する恐れが少なかった感染者が自宅療養中に体調を急変させて命を落としています。
どんな理由によって入院の可否が決まっているのかも地域によって様々らしい。
そんなわけで「先に入院した者が勝ち」みたいな状況になっているのかもしれません。
これから先、COVID-19以外の何らかの疾患によって入院が必要になった場合でも、そう簡単には入院できなくなるでしょう。
交通事故に遭ったとしても、搬送先が見つからずに助からなくなる人も増えてきそうです。
ですから、今まで以上に不摂生を避けて健康維持するための努力が重要になってきます。
「最近、運動不足気味だなー」とか言っていられる間は、まだ幸せなのかもしれませんね。
